Welcome to the Channel Z Letters Pages........
Dear Darren,
Good to see a Disk Magazine that concentrates on the
A1200! Its about time somebody did one! I have a few questions I

Mag!
As for our Festival, Yep we're having one all right!!
Fireworks, Shows, you name it its happening in Blackpool this year!
Bad Boys Inc. were here the other day 29/06/94 to open the new
Pepsi Max Big One ride at the Pleaseure Beach!
Dear Daz,

look at! I have included a bit of every thing on them from Pictures to
Modules, I hope you can make use of them!
Hows issue 6 coming on, when I phoned you the other day, you said that

we, your readers will support you until the dying day!!
Speak to you soon
David Smith
Cheshire
Thanks for the disks David! Yep the Magazine has been driving me crazy over
the past few weeks! What with our A1200 user Group and Teaching the
basics of A1200's at the local Computer shop, Life is gettin' FAST !!!!
Dear Darren, (sound like an agony column dosn't it :->)
Just a quick letter to tell you about a new gadget I've discoverd which will
be especially useful to you..(cos we all know you've got a CD32)
It a serial adaptor kit, to link a CD32 to any Amiga.
The kit is supplied by Almathera for £29.95 & P+P.
What you get is a null modem cable, serial adaptor for the CD32 (with thru'
port for a keyboard),floppy disk based networking software, CDPD 1 (CD with
same networking software on disk as well as all Fred Fish disks 1-660)
Once the networking software is running on both machines copying files from
the CD to floppy is very easy and can be done by CLI or normal workbench
windows.
Best of all the CD software prevents the CD32's annoying habit of rebooting
every time the lid's opened so you can insert any cd disk in you like and
use the software on your amiga instead.
This is especially neat if, like me, you've got cover CD's from magazines
who's idea of fun is to put PD games on the CD which need keyboard inputs
to function properly, knowing not many people have keyboards for their
CD32's.
The transfer rate is not that impressive at 19200 bps :-( but, with
companies offering 660M of software on a CD for £20 I think the long term
savings are huge.
Just get one from:-
Almathera, Southerton House, Boundry Business Court, 92-94 Church Road,
Mitcham, Surrey, CR4 3TD.
Keep up the good work at Channel Z.
Tony Murphy.
Chorley
Thanks for the Information Tony! I have been able to get hold of a lead
for the CD-32 Now! Your information and the address of the company are
included here though, for all the readers to see and take in!
